A Little About Me

I’m Lucy Felix, a professional wedding officiant, who specializes in custom, personalized ceremonies. I started A Touch of Elegance in 2020, right before the pandemic. For next two years most of the ceremonies I performed were elopements with just the couple and the witnesses, maybe a few close family members. Even though there were only a few guests, I still wanted my couples to have an amazing ceremony and make it just as great as if it were being performed in front of hundreds! I came to love performing these small, intimate weddings, but as the world opened up, the audiences got larger. I applied the same care and commitment to those larger weddings, as I did with the smaller ones, getting to know the couple and helping to make their big day a little extra special. Whether it’s an elopement, or a big wedding, I make it easy for couples to have the ceremony of their dreams!

How many guests can I bring to an elopement?

The number of guests is completely up to you, but elopements are usually no more than 10 people.

Where do I get my marriage license?

At closest County Clerk’s office! Marriage licenses are valid throughout the state of California, so even if you’re not getting married in your County, it is still valid as your ceremony takes place anywhere in California. The officiant will return the marriage license back to the County where you obtained it to make the marriage official.

Is the deposit refundable?

The initial deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to the ceremony. If there is a date change, the deposit can be applied to a future date as long as you notify us more than 14 days from the original wedding date. Any cancellations or changes less than 14 days from the original wedding date will incur a $50 fee.

We accept all major credit cards through our payment portal and PayPal, making your payment process quick, simple and secure.

At an elopement wedding guests are kept to a minimum, usually just 1-2 witnesses and parents/immediate family members or a few close friends. Elopements typically require less planning and are more budget-friendly, as they cater to fewer guest.
